New Jersey public television network changes name from NJTV to NJ PBS

February 24, 2021 – NEWARK, NJ – NJTV, the New Jersey public media network, has announced that it is changing its name to NJ PBS, effective today.

“Public media has a long and proud history in New Jersey,” said Chief Executive Officer John Servidio. “This rebranding is a new step in its evolution. NJ PBS identifies us and differentiates us more clearly from other media in our crowded marketplace. It also better connects our excellent local programming to the national footprint and trust of PBS, the United States’ public service broadcasting.

The new network and its slogan, “My NJ. My PBS. will apply to all NJ PBS digital platforms. His website is now; Facebook / MyNJPBS and Twitter @MyNJPBS.

Although the name is new, the mission of the network remains the same. New Jersey people can continue to depend on NJ PBS to document the history of the state and amplify New Jersey’s issues, arts and news directly to its local communities and families. The network’s new branding follows that of the national organization PBS, which updated its logo in 2019.
