BPS organizes the World Fishing Show
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Bass Pro Shops will host the World Fishing Fair from March 30 to April 3. The company’s national headquarters in Springfield, Mo, which houses
Johnny Morris Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, will host the one-of-a-kind celebration of fishing, conservation and the great outdoors.
The event will be accompanied by concerts from country music superstars, including Hank Williams Jr., Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley and Chris Janson, as well as top fishing professionals such as Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin, Johnny Morris, Kevin VanDam and Bill Dance. The fair is billed as a five-day celebration of fishing and all the people, products, stories, places, traditions and experiences that make it so wonderful. Half of the proceeds from all fair event entries will be donated to support conservation.
The 2022 World Fishing Fair will be the second edition of the event, the first having taken place in 1988 and having attracted more than 250,000 anglers from all over the world.
The Fair will feature an assortment of the newest fishing tackle and fishing boats available at fair prices. Featuring over 200 exhibits from over 150 manufacturers in the fishing, boating and outdoor categories, the fair provides opportunities to see and learn about a wide variety of products. Factory representatives and technicians will be on hand to provide first-person instruction and training on the latest innovations in fishing tackle and navigation systems, outboard motors, sonar technology , fish finders, audio systems and more.
Visitors to the fair can also visit the National Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame, the American Fly Fishing Museum, the Archery Hall of Fame, the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum and the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. A unique showcase of the leading role hunters and anglers play in conservation, the Wonders of Wildlife facility has been voted the best aquarium in the Americas three times by USA Today.
The Worlds Fishing Fair Guest Experience also offers a range of fishing seminars led by top pros and legends in the sport. Visitors can complete the experience by watching the World Casting Championships!
