CBS Television Network To Air Primetime Inauguration Day “Celebrating America” Hosted By Tom Hanks – CBS New York
(SCS local) – Inauguration day is almost here and the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) has announced plans to host a prime-time special to cap off the day of coverage of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-elect Joe Biden. President-elect Kamala Harris taking office on January 20, 2021..
The 90-minute program will air on all major networks, including CBS Television Network, starting at 8:30 p.m. EST on the opening day. Double Celebrate America, the program is hosted by actor Tom Hanks and, according to the press release, “will showcase the resilience, heroism and unified commitment of the American people to come together as a nation to heal and rebuild.”

The program will include addresses by the President-elect and Vice-President-elect as well as musical performances by Ant Clemons, Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake and Jon Bon Jovi.

Celebrate America isn’t the only coverage CBS has scheduled for the day, CBS News has a special half-hour show scheduled ahead of the multi-network show titled One nation: indivisible program, a half-hour live broadcast that will lead to Celebrate America. The network has yet to release full details of that program or plans for its groundbreaking day coverage.
